The economy sucks. This really isn't news (though hearing news about things like $50,000 playhouses makes me think some people haven't gotten the memo yet), everyone here has heard or felt the economic slap in the face and is working hard to just stay in the black. My husband and I are just one of many trying to make do with what we have and the job we have.
The title of the this blog, Living the Night Life, has nothing to do with parties and clubs and everything to do with third shift, the graveyard shift, the vampire shift; the "In the winter I never see daylight shift". It's rough. It's exhausting. It means I never watch soap operas. The world runs on the day shift, our families run on the day shift, we, however, do not and this is how we make do in the land of the daylight dwellers.
In addition to the exploits of us third shifters there will also be things discussed such as my adventures in cooking and stories about how cheap I am and rants about how much I want a baby.
